Our Programs
The Boys in the Woodz Summer Camp is an overnight camping program for boys where kids do activities like hiking, swimming, archery, group games, sports, and a sweat lodge. The program includes camping and backpacking trips in public parks around Central California.

weekend outdoor tripsWe will take groups of up to 8 youth on outdoor trips. While enjoying friendships and positive mentoring, kids do special outdoor activities like kayaking in the Elkhorn Slough, or a ropes course, or swimming at the Arroyo Seco River.

The Outdoor Science and Character Development Program is carried out in partnership with a local alternative high school in Watsonville to provide outdoor science trips to wild places near their community. We provide interactive, hands-on activities that nurtures environmental stewardship and life skills.

Girls Paving Way was carried out for three years (from 2015 to 2018) in partnership with a network of community-based organizations to provide an umbrella of services designed to promote academic success and foster a college-going mindset for a group of middle school girls in Watsonville. The role of Growing Up Wild was to provide outdoor environmental science and community building activities, including camping.
